INITIAL POSTURE AND MOVEMENT ANALYSES
This is a necessary first step in your Pilates introduction. During this initial consultation we assess your current state of health and determine your fitness goals. It lasts approximately 45 min - 1 hour and includes 1 x private session which is scheduled afterwards at a time that is convenient to you and the instructor. The 1 hour private session will help introduce you to the fundamentals and principles of the Pilates method before starting your Basic group classes. Joseph Pilates believed the best way to learn Pilates is through private instruction. Pilates takes a lot of concentration and discipline and can be challenging at first .Private sessions are composed of both reformer apparatus and matwork and allow the instructor to develop a customized system of exercises to address each client's needs, goals, and previous injuries. More advanced clients benefit from one-on-one instruction to improve precision, add new exercises to their workout program, work on a specific issue, or work on rehabilitation from injury. Private sessions are 60 minutes in length. R215 per session

GROUP MAT CLASSES
Matwork forms the basis of the Pilates repertoire and enhances coordination, balance and increased flexibility concentrating on the abdomen, buttocks and back. Our group classes are small but challenging, giving our clients individual attention that will lead to greater improvement with the greatest safety.
Classes are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced which ensures that each persons individual needs are met.

PRE AND POST PREGNANCY
As your pregnancy develops and the baby grows bigger, your normal posture changes and great strain is put on your joints, muscles and all the soft tissues. Movement becomes restricted and the blood supply to the soft tissue is reduced...normal breathing patterns are disturbed and pelvic floor muscles can be weakened which can lead to incontinence later. Pilates addresses all these problems and will help you avoid any problems caused by poor posture. Pilates is the ideal gentle and effective exercise system to use in the months leading up to your baby's birth and in the weeks following to get your body back in shape.
